Hotels

Our group tours and tailor made holidays generally use good four star hotels of international tourist class, as tourism is still a developing industry in parts of China (such as Dali, Tibet and the Silk Road) so the quality of the accommodation and the levels of service may not be up to standards of Western countries.

We have a range of hotels to suit all budgets and service levels, ranging from well known Western chains through to local Chinese-managed properties, if you can’t quite find the one you like for a Tailor Made Tour please ask and we can make further enquiries and offer you more choices.

Typically the rooms will be a double or twin for two adults to share with private bathroom facilities.

Check-In

Typically you will be allowed to check-in between 12.00 - 14.00 but this varies upon individual establishments and if your room has been cleaned and prepared for you.

If you find that you are arriving in your destination early in the morning, we may be able to arrange for an early check-in (subject to the policy of the individual establishment and availability) which may incur an additional fee.

Please present your passport, booking reference/confirmation slip as these are the details used to register you for the stay. In addition some hotels may require a security deposit (which may paid in cash or a copy of your credit card) to cover for possible use of phone, mini-bar, laundry etc - other facilities not included in the fee.

Check-Out

The check-out time will depend on your itinerary (e.g catching a flight, or sight seeing), typically anything after 14.00 could be deemed "late check-out" and could be subject to a fee if you wish to keep the room longer. Another option is to leave your luggage with the concierge and go out, returning later to pick up your bags and catch your onward connection.

You will sign a receipt to confirm all outstanding payments have been made.
