China Visa Application

All foreign visitors need to have a valid visa for entering China, Airlines will check if you have the correct documentation before letting you board a flight to China.
 
China Links Travel can take care of this process for you via the Chinese Embassy in London, just send the documents to us and we will do the rest.
 
Please note that the Chinese Embassy in London is only able to process applications from the following:-
1. Full UK passport holders (British Citizens)
2. Non-UK passport holders who are permanent residents in the UK (proof will be required)
3. Non-UK passport holders who have a valid work permit  (proof will be required)
 
If you do not fall into any of the above categories please seek further information from the Chinese Embassy of your home country, they shall be able to advise you how to proceed.
 
Documents Required For China Tourist Visas
  1. Original passport,to be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application and with sufficient blank visa pages. (photocopies and scans are not acceptable)
  2. A recent colour passport photo affixed to the form (see guidance below) 
  3. Completed application forms.

Application Time
Travellers can apply for the China visa within 90 days of your holiday. We recommend sending your documents to us by Special Delivery 2 months prior to your departure. It normally takes about 2 weeks for the visa to be issued and we shall return the passport back to you.
 
Return of Passports
A Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope must be provided with your return address clearly written on the envelope and the correct postage applied so we can return your passports. It is your responsibility to ensure your name, address and post code are written clearly and correctly. You are also advised to take down the return delivery tracking number in order to obtain the status of delivery from Royal Mail.
We will NOT be responsible for any problems caused if your return envelope is supplied with wrong, illegible, incomplete, without a return address or lacking the correct postage paid - if in doubt please ask the Post Office staff before sending.
Alternatively, for customers in London you may come to collect your passport from our office.
 
Photo Requirements
Please ensure your photo reaches the necessary standard - it should be
* dimensions not exceeding 55 mm x 45 mm
* recent
* in colour
* full front face view
* on a white background
* not wearing a hat, sunglasses
* if you are using a home printer, please use high quality glossy paper
 
Refund of Embassy Fees
In the unlikely event that your visa application is rejected, withdrawn or not processed, China Links Travel cannot accept any liability for a refund because all the fees have been paid to the Chinese Embassy directly and they do not issue refunds under any circumstances.
 

Hong Kong Visa Application

Since the 1st July 1997 sovereignty transferred to China and Hong Kong became a Special Administrative Region (S.A.R) of China but it retains separate Immigration and border controls.
 
Citizens of about 170 countries can enjoy visa-free entry to Hong Kong S.A.R as visitors for periods ranging from 7 to 180 days.
 
Full UK Passport holders (British Citizens) can stay for 180 days
EU, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Japan Passport holders can stay for 90 days
Most western and Commonwealth countries can stay for 7, 14, 30 or 90 days.
 
Please consult the list here to check your requirements before travelling.
  
In the event that you do require a visa please submit the following documents:-
  1. Original passport remaining to be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application and with sufficient blank visa pages.
  2. A recent colour passport photo affixed to the form (see guidance above) 
  3. Completed application forms.
  4. Proof of adequate funds for your stay
  5. Proof of onward travel or return ticket
