"We had a fantastic holiday, we all agreed its one of the best we've ever had. Thanks also for our birthday cake, it really was appreciated and was a lovely surprise.Our guides, Jayne in Xi'an and Tracey in Beijing were first class. The itinerary prepared for our trip was outstanding, we absolutely enjoyed every experience and would highly recommend your services - indeed I already have done so to members of my family. " Dear Helen, We had a fantastic time in China and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience so thank you for putting together such a comprehensive tour. The Victoria Cruise on the Yangtze was excellent. We were the only English people on board but we welcomed the opportunity to meet people from other parts of the world and also began to understand the difference in the Chinese Culture. Our guide in Chongqing was Ray and he was excellent, he knew exactly when the Pandas were going to appear at feeding time so we saw them well. Guilin - we really liked it here and the Li River Cruise, Amy was our guide and was exceptional her English was almost perfect with a very good accent. Our transport was consistently very good and the drivers also very good. Our food was good and we tried various local specialities. We enjoyed every moment of our time in China and would certainly book again."

"Everything worked like clockwork, we were met on time at each leg of the journey. Our guide in Dali was wonderful, Sally met us at the airport in her beautiful traditional costume. Although we were only with her for one and a half days, she left the most lasting impression of all that is good about a tour guide. Secondly, Leo on the Lijiang section, he like Sally , was very gracious and informative. We have high praise for the Landscape Hotel in Dali and the Sanhe in Lijiang, both a delight to the eye and with delightful staff.

"Me and my wife recently returned from China and we had the most wonderful time. Upon arrival our Guide picked us up and dropped us to the hotel, she was extremely polite and spoke really good English. Not having to worry about queing up for tickets at the monuments is a big plus, our Guide arranged this for us. She was also a good photographer and pointed out good photo spots.
Me and my wife are both vegetarians so before travelling to China we had concerns about food, I mentioned this to Helen and it was communicated to the Guides so they could take us to restaurants that cater for vegetarians. "Thank you so much for having organised this for us, and for suggesting where to go in the limited period of a fortnight which we had available. Being in China was an absolutely fantastic experience – for starters, the country was so much more physically beautiful than I had ever imagined. Our trip was completely enhanced by the wonderful guides who accompanied us, they provided excellent cultural and historical knowledge.
Guilin – Spectacularly wonderful. Longsheng Rice Fields – the driver we had in Guilin was the best on the whole trip – very careful and, given the winding narrow mounting roads, we felt in complete safe hands. The River Li trip was truly beautiful, but then the whole area was probably the most amazing part of our holiday. The pandas are not to be missed, everything was so exciting and I made sure we went to the Sichuan Opera that night which we loved - lots of variety and fun.
I’d love to go back to the Forbidden City, to have some more time both there and everywhere else, as there is so much to see and do. Thank you so much for co ordinating it all. We loved it."

"Thank you for arranging our holiday in such a short space of time and to tell you what a fantastic time we had. I didn’t know what I imagined China to be like but nothing could have prepared me for the vastness.
We took the time to visit the opera in Beijing and also in Xian, and the cultural show in Chengdu. These were all wonderful for helping us to discern the different cultures within China and I recommend them to anyone visiting China . More than that though we went to see the show Impressions of “Liu San Jie” in Yangshuo. This was on the recommendation of our guide. Our tickets gave very good seats and this spectacle showed contemporary Chinese theatre and was superb.
We went for speciality meals in each region (duck in Beijing, dumplings in Xian and hotpot in Chengdu) and these also helped us to discern the different regions and cultures.
Our guides were knowledgable helpful and courteous In particular Michael in Guilin/Yangshuo who addressed us as Mr and Mrs Hatfield throughout and took the time to learn our sons' names. We have had an amazing holiday and a fantastic experience. Thank you again for arranging it all."

"As a Beijing first-timer, Helen found me the perfect hotel (Gloria Plaza) for my 5 night stay. Check-in was fine, the room was very spacious, flat screen TV, well-stocked bathroom, lovely shower, absolutely huge bed (it could easily have slept 3 adults) and no problems with hard mattress like elsewhere in China - this one was heavenly, I slept just great. Buffet breakfast was 1st class - lots of choice and variety, the western selection was very good - bacon, sausages, eggs, potato wedges etc. One morning I used the spa - pool, jacuzzi, sauna...and there was hardly any other guests, had it all to myself. Access via public transport is good, just a short walk from Jiang Guo Men station from where I took the tube to sites like Tiananmen Square, Confucius Temple. If I ever return to China I would certainly use China Links Travel again"

"Well, you will be pleased to know that we had a fantastic time in China. Although the pace of the tours etc. was quite fast we did manage to keep up! . Your guides in Beijing (Toby) and Shanghai were particularly good at giving us space and time but keeping us on schedule. Hotels were good. People did find the overnight train a little tiring as not many in our group got much sleep! We had the best weather I think when we went to the Great Wall which was very nice. I thought the holiday was excellent value for money. We were expecting to go inside the 'birds nest' Olympic stadium but were not too dissapointed. "We had a super time on our trip - some comments below. The content of the tour was excellent. Toby in Beijing was superb, with nothing being too much trouble. All round an excellent host to his city. Food generally was good especially the faimly meal in the Hutongs and the meal in Chongquing. "My daughter and I had a great time in China.There was a great variety of activities and loads to see. All the hotels were clean and comfortable. Food was OK but nothing special. Toby our guide in Beijing was lovely, really helpful. Chris in Xian was really helpful but a bit hard to understand. Gloria in Shanghai was lovely and very helpful. We went to the airport in the mag lev and Gloria took our bags in the minibus! The train to Xian was an adventure but not that comfortable. Overall very pleased with our trip. Back from Chinaa week now and have to say it was the best holiday we've ever had. We both just loved every moment of it and the sights and sounds we experienced will stay with us for a very long time. Thanks also to you and your excellent company. I have already recommended China Links Travel to several of my friends and work colleagues and would not hesitate to use your services again if I consider another trip to China. The organization of the tour was second to non and everything worked out really well. All the internal flights worked out fine and the guides in each resort were very helpful and friendly with just one exception. The lady in Shanghai called CoCo certainly knew her stuff and was very helpful in writing down places for us in English and Chinese, but for John and myself she didn't quite come up to the high standards of all the other guides. A few of the others in our group thought the same. Regarding food can I say what wonderful meals we had. Lunch and dinner were always eagerly looked forward to. We were also very pleased with the standard of all the hotels we stayed in. Could not fault any of them. Finally can I say how lovely it was to see you whilst in Lijiang, such a surprise. I know John was very pleased to meet with you in person as was Angela, the lady that was doing that part of the tour with us. Thank you for arranging such a wonderful trip, definitely in our view the trip of a lifetime. Now just wading through all the photographs. I took over 800. John took about 1400.
