The highest vantage point on Hong Kong island, a trip 500 metres up here whether by bus or the Peak Tram affords spectacular views over skyscrapers and the harbour. A return trip at night is also recommended to see the city illuminated with bright colours.

If you don't fancy walking there is also the option to take a cable car ride to the top. Enjoy a vegetarian meal at the Po Lin Monastery's restaurant

Seafood enthusiasts can take a meal at Aberdeen's Jumbo Floating Restuarant or a Sampan ride takes you in amongst the locals who don't live on land.

Star Ferry
No trip to Hong Kong would be complete without taking a ride on the Star Ferry, the best view is afforded by boarding from Tsim Sha Tsui - the southern most point of the Kowloon peninsula and riding towards the glittering skyscrapers of Central on the north side of Hong Kong Island.

Shopping
As a largely VAT free environment it's no wonder people flock here to enjoy lower prices and a greater variety of products compared to back home. Whether you are looking for traditional chinese ware through to the latest electronic gadgets, somewhere in Hong Kong is bound to be seilling it.
Nathan Road in Kowloon is known as the "Golden Mile" and is a good place to start.

Eating
Dim Sum - bamboo baskets full of delicious steamed dumplings are served up with tea for breakfast and lunch. This is a local meal we would certainly recommend. The Cantonese are also famed for their tasty barbequed meats which can be seen hanging in the windows of cafe's and restaurants.
