Guilin
Guilin is famous in China as having the country's most picturesque city. There is the popular saying “Guilin shanshui jia tian xia”, which means Guilin’s mountain and water scenery is the best under heaven. Two rivers meander through the city which is encircled by mountains and stunning rock formations and caves.

Reed Flute Cave
This is one of the most extraordinary sights Guilin has to offer, the underground Reed Flute Cave with its multicoloured lighting and fantastic stalactites and stalagmites.
Yangshuo
Yangshuo is an extraordinary countryside town. In this town you can feel the wonderful, fresh countryside atmosphere, take a hike up Moon Hill for breath taking views of the scenery.

Elephant Trunk Hill
One of the Li Jiang river's most famous sites, resembling an elephant having a leisurely drink from the river. Legend says that the Emperor of Heaven sent the elephant down to earth to help people in their work, when the Emperor saw it having a drink he was angered and turned it into stone.
Cormorant Fishing
This traditional form of fishing is part of life for the Li River fishermen for hundreds of years, they ride bamboo rafts with cormorants who dive into the water in search of fish. This practice is best viewed at night when equipped with lanterns as the fish are attracted to the lights.
Longji Terraced Rice Fields
Located in the north east of Guang Xi province about 100km from Guilin, the terraced fields ripple through the mountains to form some of the most beautiful scenery in China.
Fubo Hill
To the north of Guilin is an attractive garden park, the hill which stands half on water and half on land, unique mountain caves and elegant garden rock formations. |
