The Jiu Zhai Gou Valley and Scenic Area first opened to visitors in 1984 and people have been attracted to the region ever since to see some of China's most beautifully scenic areas. Lying between the Sichuan Basin and the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the valley has attractions including forests, meadows, rivers, valleys, mountains, multi-level waterfalls and colourful lakes.
With some of the most beautiful and inspiring scenery on earthand some of the reserves scenic spots considered holy by the local Tibetan and Qiang people, the wonderful landscape of Jiu Zhai Gou attracts many visitors. The valley consists of two main parks - Huang Long and Jiu Zhai Gou, together they form a UNESCO Heritage Site.

Catch a morning flight from your inward destination to Jiu Zhai Gou. Upon arrival be met by your English speaking guide and transferred to the Huang Long Scenic and Historic Interest Area. Here you can explore by foot and take a cable car for an aerial view of the wonderful scenes. |

After breakfast be transferred to the second part of the valley - Jiu Zhai Gou for a full day tour. 35km long with diverse natural beauty. Highlights include the Multi-coloured Lake and the Nourilang Waterfalls, whose name means majestic and grand in Tibetan language.

After breakfast we will visit a Tibetan family in their village and see how they make traditional cheese and milk, enjoy a snack of Yak butter tea and home made bread before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

Jiu Zhai Gou is reached by a short flight from Chengdu, for those already in the area visitng the LeShan Buddha and the Giant Pandas it is an ideal Add On.
Accommodation will be based upon 2 people sharing a twin/double room based in a 4 Star
