Day Activity Meal
1 UK - In Flight  -
  Depart the UK on a flight to Beijing.  
2 Beijing D
  Upon arrival, met and transferred to your hotel for 3 nights. Rest of day at your leisure.  
3 Beijing BLD
  Sightseeing today starts by joining the local people at the beautiful Temple of Heaven for Tai Chi. After lunch we will stroll through Tiananmen Square, then enter the incredible Forbidden City. In the evening there will be a sumptuous Peking Duck Dinner.  
4 Beijing BLD
  Visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu, afternoon head to the Summer Palace. On the way back to Beijing and stop at some 2008 Olympic venues such as the Birds Nest and the Water Cube.  
5 Beijing - Datong BLD
  Morning at leisure until the we catch the afternoon train to Datong. Arriving in the evening you can enjoy a relaxing dinner.  
6 Datong - Wutaishan BLD
  We will visit the Yungang Caves and the 1400 year old Hanging Monastery. Continue driving to Wutaishan where we spend the night- one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China.  
7 Wutaishan - Pingyao BLD
  Discover the "Holy land of Chinese Buddhism" at Wutaishan, visit some of the temples at this heritage site. Overnight in Pingyao.   
8 Pingyao  BLD 
  Pingyao is a listed World Heritage Site. This town offers a great insight into the architectural styles of Imperial China. Highlights include the Ancient City Wall and Ancient Ming and Qing Street.   The Rishengchang Financial House Museum, Zhengguo Temple and Shuang Lin Temple.  
9 Pingyao - Taiyun - Xian BLD 
  Today we shall visit the Twin Pagoda Temple - the symbol if Taiyun. Catch a flight to Xian.  
10 Xian  BLD
  Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Shaanxi Museum. In the evening enjoy a performance of the Tang Dynasty Show with a special Dumpling Dinner.  
11 Xian BLD
  Visit the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin that include the Terracotta Warriors. In the afternoon you can explore by foot or ride a bicycle along the Ancient City Wall.  
12 Xian - Nanjing  BL
  Walk through the lively Muslim Quarter, visit the Great Mosque and explore the Islamic food markets. Fly to Nanjing.   
13 Nanjing - Shanghai  BLD
  Located at the foot of the Zhongshan Mountain Scenic Area is the mausoleum of Dr Sun Yat Sen - regarded as the founding father of modern China establishing the Republic. The Ming Tombs, Plum-Blossom Hill, and Linggu Temple are also part of the Park. Catch the train to Shanghai.   
14 Hangzhou BLD
  Catch the bullet train to Hangzhou - one of China's most scenic spots, sightseeing begins at the West Lake – panoramic scenery awaits you in the form of weeping willow trees, peach blossoms, ancient stone bridges and pagoda’s. Also visit Ling Ying Temple – a Buddhist Monastery. After lunch we shall visit a tea plantation and sample some traditional brews in one of the local Tea Houses. We will also look around the local markets near Qing He Fong Street. Return to Shanghai by train.   
15 Shanghai BLD
  Take a city  tour of the Old Town, Yu Yuan Gardens and Jade Buddha Temple. Also visit the Shanghai Museum and The Bund. Spend the evening in the leisure district of Xin Tian Di.  
16 Shanghai - UK  B
  After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

Day Activity
16 Shanghai - Hong Kong (B)
  Transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Hong Kong.  Take the shuttle bus to your hotel for a 2 night stay, rest of the day is at your leisure. 
17 Hong Kong 
  Enjoy a morning half day island tour taking a ride on the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen.  Afternoon is free at leisure.
18 Hong Kong - UK
  Free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
