Fly overnight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel, and then visit the famous Bund, the city’s famous riverside boulevard, which is lined with magnificent former colonial buildings which now stand as monuments to Shanghai’s one-time notoriety. (D)

Days 4 Beijng

Sightseeing today includes a stroll through Tiananmen Square. It is the largest public square in the world. Then we will explore the incredible Forbidden City, which has the largest and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. We will also visit the beautiful Temple ofHeaven. This ornate structure, made entirely of wood, was built in 1420 and is still used as a hall of prayer for good harvests. During the evening there will be a delicious Peking Duck Dinner. (BLD)

Days 5 Beijing

This morning we will visit the Great Wall. After lunch we will visit the Summer Palace. On the way back we will stop at the Olympic Stadium know as the Bird’s Nest for you to take some photos. (BLD)

Days 6 Beijing- Xian

We will take a flight to Xian in the morning. You will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, with a history of almost 2000 years, and the famous Shaanxi Historical Museum. Among the 400,000 items on display, there are treasures from many Dynasties. There will be a dumpling dinner in the evening. You can also watch the Tang Dynasty show, which is optional. (BLD)

Days 7 Xian

The Terracotta Warriors, and important archaeological discovery of the 20th century, will be one of the attractions we will be seeing today. After, we will stroll through the lively Muslim Quarter to visit the amazing Great Mosque and explore the Islamic food markets. (BLD)

Days 8 Xian-Chongqing

Visit the city wall, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the city, and take a flight to Chongqing and transfer to the ship. (BLD)

Days 9-10 Yangtze River Cruise                                                                                             There will be a short excursion to Fangdu, otherwise known as ‘Ghost City’ on the cruise. The cruiser will sail through the Yangtze Gorges and you will have an excursion to beautiful Shennong Stream. You will also have a short visit to the Three Gorges Dam site. (BLD)                

Days 11 Yichang – Shanghai                                                                                                  Disembark from the ship and take a plane flight to Shanghai. (BLD)
