Days 1-2 UK - Shanghai
Fly overnight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel, and then visit the famous Bund, the city’s famous riverside boulevard, which is lined with magnificent former colonial buildings which now stand as monuments to Shanghai’s one-time notoriety. (D)
Days 3 Shanghai - Beijing
Today we will visit the classical Chinese Yu Yuan Garden and the Shanghai Museum. Then we shall take a flight to Beijing. (BLD)
Days 4 Beijing
Sightseeing today includes a stroll through Tiananmen Square. It is the largest public square in the world. Then we will explore the incredible Forbidden City, which has the largest and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. We will also visit the beautiful Temple of Heaven. This ornate structure, made entirely of wood, was built in 1420 and is still used as a hall of prayer for good harvests. During the evening there will be a delicious Peking Duck Dinner. (BLD)
Days 5 Beijing
This morning we will visit the Great Wall. After lunch we will visit the Summer Palace. On the way back we will stop at the Olympic Stadium know as the Bird’s Nest for you to take some photos. (BLD)
Days 6 Beijing- Xian
Today we will take a Hutong tour before taking a flight to Xian. Hutong is a maze of traditional Chinese alleyways. On this tour you can get an insight on how the local people’s lifestyles are like. (BLD)
Days 7 Xian
Today we will visit the city wall, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the city, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, with a history of almost 2000 years, and the famous Historical Museum. Among the 400,000 items on display, there are treasures from many Dynasties. There will be a dumpling dinner in the evening. You can also watch the Tang Dynasty show, which is optional. (BLD)
Days 8 Xian-Guilin
The Terracotta Warriors, and important archaeological discovery of the 20th century, will be one of the attractions we will be seeing today. After, we will stroll through the lively Muslim Quarter to visit the amazing Great Mosque and explore the Islamic food markets. We will fly to Guilin after. (BLD)
Days 9 Guilin – Yangshuo Today we take a river cruise to Yangshuo. On the Li River, you can enjoy the breathtaking landscape of beautiful limestone hills, tranquil fishing scenes and the peaceful villages. We will continue downstream to the riverside town of Yangshuo. (BLD)
Days 10 Yangshuo – Guilin Walk along or bicycle on the street of Yangshuo and soak in the peaceful, calm atmosphere of this charming town. Drive back to Guilin and visit the colourful Reed Flute Caves.(BLD)
Days 11 Guilin -Shanghai Today we shall visit the Fubo Hill for a panoramic view over Guilin before taking a flight to Shanghai. (BLD)
Days 12 Shanghai
Today will be one day World Expo 2010 tour. (B)
Days 13 Shanghai-UK
Take a flight back to the UK. (B)
