Itinerary (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner)

Days 1-2 UK - Shanghai

Fly overnight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel, and then visit the famous Bund, the city’s famous riverside boulevard, which is lined with magnificent former colonial buildings which now stand as monuments to Shanghai’s one-time notoriety. (D)

 

Days 3 Shanghai - Xian

Today we will visit the classical Chinese Yu Yuan Garden and the Shanghai Museum. Then we shall take a flight to Xian. (BLD)

 

Days 4 Xian

Today we will visit the city wall, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the city, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, with a history of almost 2000 years, and the famous Shaanxi Historical Museum. Among the 400,000 items on display, there are treasures from many Dynasties. There will be a dumpling dinner in the evening. You can also watch the Tang Dynasty show, which is optional. (BLD)

 

Days 5 Xian-Beijing

The Terracotta Warriors, and important archaeological discovery of the 20th century, will be one of the attractions we will be seeing today. After, we will stroll through the lively Muslim Quarter to visit the amazing Great Mosque and explore the Islamic food markets. Then we will take a flight to Beijing.(BLD)

 

Days 6 Beijing

Sightseeing today includes a stroll through Tiananmen Square. It is the largest public square in the world. Then we will explore the incredible Forbidden City, which has the largest and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. We will also visit the beautiful Temple of Heaven. This ornate structure, made entirely of wood, was built in 1420 and is still used as a hall of prayer for good harvests. During the evening there will be a delicious Peking Duck Dinner. (BLD)

 

Days 7 Beijing

This morning we will visit the Great Wall. After lunch we will visit the Summer Palace. On the way back we will stop at the Olympic Stadium know as the Bird’s Nest for you to take some photos. (BLD)

 

Days 8 Beijing-Shanghai

Today we will take a Hutong tour before taking a flight to Shanghai. Hutong is a maze of traditional Chinese alleyways. On this tour you can get an insight on how the local people’s lifestyles are like. (BLD)

 

Days 9 Shanghai

Today will be a one day World Expo 2010 tour. (B)

 

Days 10 Shanghai-UK

Take a flight back to the UK. (B)

Day 01 - Arrive Hong Kong
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
 
Day 02 - Hong Kong
Today will be a half day island tour, starting in the morning, when we visit Victoria peak with a one way peak tram up, Stanley Market, Repulse bay and Aberdeen. Afternoon is free for leisure.
 
Day 03 - Hong Kong - departure
Free until transfer to airport for your departure flight.
